In Kenya, libraries and archives play a crucial role in preserving African intellectual heritage by safeguarding manuscripts, documents, and oral traditions. A qualitative approach will be employed to review existing literature and interviews with stakeholders in Kenyan libraries and archives. The findings highlight the importance of ongoing support for these institutions to ensure continued preservation efforts. Policy recommendations include increased funding, training programmes for staff, and public awareness campaigns about the significance of library and archives.
