Gamification has emerged as a pedagogical tool in recent years, leveraging game design elements to enhance learning outcomes. In Nigerian secondary schools, traditional teaching methods often struggle to engage students and foster problem-solving skills effectively. The study employed mixed-methods research, including pre- and post-tests with surveys and focus group discussions. A sample of 120 students from four secondary schools was randomly assigned to either a control or experimental group; the experimental group received gamified curriculum materials while the control group continued with conventional teaching methods. This study provides evidence supporting the use of gamification as an innovative approach to enhance student engagement and problem-solving abilities in secondary school curricula. Educators should consider integrating gamified elements into their teaching strategies to complement traditional methods, particularly for subjects where problem-solving is critical. Future research could explore longer-term effects and broader applications.
