District hospitals in South Africa face challenges in delivering optimal healthcare services due to resource limitations and infrastructure deficits. A mixed-methods approach will be employed, including process evaluation for operational effectiveness and outcome analysis using regression models. Data collection will utilise structured surveys and qualitative interviews in three districts. Initial data suggests an increase of 10-20% in patient throughput following the implementation of new workflow protocols, indicating potential system enhancements. The quasi-experimental design offers a robust methodology for assessing yield improvement in district hospitals, providing actionable insights to policymakers and healthcare managers. Continue monitoring hospital performance metrics and consider scaling up successful interventions across other districts, ensuring sustainable improvements. Treatment effect was estimated with logit (pᵢ) =₀+^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
