Atopic dermatitis (AD) can affect individuals from infancy through adulthood. Treatment often involves medications containing steroids, such as prednisone and dexamethasone, to help manage the condition. Quick results from these medications are often expected, but long-term treatment is rarely assured due to significant side effects. The animal test for atopic dermatitis disorders was divided into four parts. Symptoms were assessed by observing skin dryness, blood on areas like the tail vein. The IgE were measured in the tail vein sampling. Also, Inflammatory cytokines in the serum, including TNF-α, IL-1β and CCL-17, were measured using an ELISA kit. The inhibitory effects of these cytokines in atopic dermatitis-induced NC/Nga mice applied with Salvia plebeia extract complex were then examined. The findings demonstrated that applying Salvia plebeia extract complex significantly improved atopic dermatitis progression and effectively regulated inflammatory cytokines linked to hypersensitive immune responses in the affected tissues.
