The results of the kinetic studies of the influence of reaction system components on the composition of truly active Pd complexes participating in the formation of bicyclo2.2.1heptane derivatives as a result of three-component coupling of aryl halide, norbornene, and aryl acetylene are discussed. Based on the data on the sensitivity of differential selectivity of conjugation nodes of competing catalytic cycles of the reaction under consideration the anionic character and mixed-ligand composition of catalytically active Pd compounds have been established.
