Smallholder farming systems in Ethiopia are characterized by diverse production practices and resource constraints. A Randomized Field Trial (RFT) was conducted across five regions to assess yield variability under different farming systems. Data on inputs, outputs, and environmental conditions were collected for statistical analysis. The average yield improvement observed in the treatment group compared to controls was 15% with a 95% confidence interval of (8%, 23%). Randomized field trials provided robust evidence of efficiency gains from diversified farming practices, offering insights for policy and practice. Further research should explore the scalability and cost-effectiveness of these management strategies across different regions.
