The Monte Carlo simulations have been utilized to investigate the dielectric characteristics and electric hysteresis loops of a ferrielectric nanowire described by a mixed-spin (1/2, 3/2) Ising model. The roles of the single-ion anisotropy and exchange coupling are systematically analyzed with respect to polarization, susceptibility, internal energy, and specific heat. Particular emphasis is placed on the resulting phase diagram and hysteresis characteristics. Striking features such as compensation points and triple-loop hysteresis emerge from the competition among various physical parameters. The obtained results are in excellent agreement with available experimental data and previous theoretical reports.
