Migrant communities in Southern Africa face unique challenges related to cultural adaptation and resilience as they navigate new environments. The research employed structured questionnaires distributed among migrant populations of different ethnic backgrounds to gather data on cultural adaptation strategies and resilience mechanisms. A notable finding was that language proficiency significantly influenced both the process of cultural adaptation (85% reported improved communication skills) and resilience building (92% indicated enhanced community cohesion). The study underscores the importance of linguistic support in fostering cultural integration and collective strength among migrant communities. Policy makers should prioritise language training programmes to enhance social inclusion and mutual understanding within migrant communities.
