The sharing economy focuses on sharing and accessing resources instead of owning them. It is changing how people travel, work, and use services across the world. This paper examines different sharing economy models, such as ride-sharing services, co-working spaces, home-sharing, and digital platforms. It explains how these models can support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The sharing economy can help reduce the use of natural resources and lower environmental impacts by encouraging more efficient use of existing assets. It can also create new economic opportunities, especially for individuals and small businesses, and support inclusive growth. In addition, digital platforms in the sharing economy promote innovation and flexible work options. However, the paper also discusses challenges linked to the sharing economy, including issues related to regulation, job security, and social inequality. Some models may also create environmental or social problems if not properly managed. The study highlights these limitations and emphasizes the need for responsible policies and governance. Finally, the paper provides policy recommendations to strengthen the positive role of the sharing economy and align it more closely with SDG targets.
