This article explores the military application teaching practice of light quantum theory in military academy physics courses, following the thread of “from photoelectric effect to low-light imaging”. With the main line of “from the foundation of quantum theory to the integration of military applications, and then to the tempering of innovative thinking”, it analyzes how to address the pain points of “theoretical abstraction and difficulty” and “equipment application disconnection” in the teaching of quantum theory in military academy physics during the special historical moment of the “Year of Quantum Science and Technology”. It provides a reproducible sample for cultivating new military talents who “understand science and technology and plan to win”. Student feedback indicates that this class successfully changed their cognition of military equipment development, deeply understood the decisive role of basic theory in technological innovation, and significantly improved teaching effectiveness.
