Abstract

This is an interview conducted in January 1987. In addition to his early years in science, Stent, one of the pioneers of molecular biology, talks about the DNA double helix, the uniqueness of scientific discoveries, success in science, recombinant DNA, mind and brain, truth and reality, the Golden Age, thinking in East and West, and the Buddhist outlook. The interview was published in Hungarian translation in Magyar Tudomány 94(32):11 (November 1987), 871-877, along with my interviews with James D. Watson, and Erwin Chargaff.
