Kafue National Park in Zambia has implemented community-based conservation programmes to manage wildlife populations and mitigate human-wildlife conflict. Data was collected through ecological surveys, interviews with local communities, and monitoring of wildlife populations within Kafue National Park. A notable increase in herbivore population density by 30% has been observed in areas where community-based conservation programmes were implemented. Community-based conservation programmes have shown promising results in managing wildlife populations sustainably, with significant impacts on herbivore species densities. Further research should focus on evaluating the long-term sustainability and scalability of these programmes across different regions.
