This paper analyzes the constructive solution of the dome of the Kok Gumbaz Mosque in Shahrisabz. The study explores dome geometry, load-bearing systems, transitional elements, material integration, and climatic adaptation. Particular emphasis is placed on the relationship between the drum, squinch-like transitions, and wall thickness. The findings highlight the relevance of historical architectural knowledge for restoration and contemporary design.
