Low back pain is one of the most common musculoskeletal complaints in India, with approximately 70–80% of the population reporting its occurrence at some point in life. Among the various etiological factors, intervertebral disc prolapse is a frequent cause, with pain often radiating to the leg, buttock, or hip, characteristically presenting as Sciatica. According to Ayurveda, Sciatica closely resembles Gridhrasi, a commonly encountered Vāta Vyādhi. Aims and Objectives: The present study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of Ayurvedic management in the treatment of Gridhrasi. In this case study, 55 years female patient was suffering from low back pain radiating to left lower limb. She was treated with shodana karma, which includes Abhyanga with Nadi sweda, Kativasti and Matra vasti along with Shamana Aushadhis like Yogaraja guggulu, Shanka vati, Punarnava mandooram, Ashwagandha churna and Karpoora taila. After treatment patient showed remarkable improvement in symptoms and overall quality of life of patient was significantly improved.
