This study conducted a bibliometric analysis of the development of household energy consumption research during the period 2015-2025 using 221 Scopus-indexed documents. The analysis was carried out using science mapping techniques through the Biblioshiny application to identify publication trends, collaboration networks, and knowledge structures. The results showed an annual publication growth of 13.35% with China as the main contributor (197 documents). The co-occurrence analysis revealed four main thematic clusters: the conceptual foundations of household energy consumption (blue clusters), consumption behavior patterns (green clusters), spatial dimensions and energy sources (red clusters), and technical solutions and energy management (purple clusters). The thematic map shows that the themes of household energy consumption and energy efficiency are in the quadrant of the most relevant and growing motor themes, while the machine-learning and energy management forecasting approaches have matured methodologically. The findings of the study reveal a paradigm shift from a technical-economic approach towards the integration of sociodemographic and behavioral aspects. The study recommends the need for more in-depth exploration of specific regional contexts and interdisciplinary approaches to support a sustainable energy transition.
