Based on the educational philosophy of individual development, the personalized teaching of dance choreography emphasizes the gradual enhancement of the creative potential generated by the differences among the students. Dance learning is no longer restricted to imitation training. Instead, it stresses on teaching learners to develop personal expression through experience, feeling and physical awareness and build up internal motivation for creative engagement. Based on the personalized education ideas, humanistic orientation and constructivist learning ideas, the author proposes a dance choreography teaching model with the characteristics of diversity. The model clarifies its conceptual orientation, structural framework and mechanism of action. In addition, this study focuses on the role of the approaches of individual movement generation, situational experience, diverse collaboration and process evaluation in enriching depth of expression and creative initiative, and offers a teaching approach that addresses the balance of difference and commonality and that of practicality and development within dance education.
