Frequency, Characteristics, Management, and Outcomes of Posttransplant Lymphoproliferative Disorder After Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in Children: A Multicentre Retrospective Study of the Turkish Pediatric BMT Study Group
Key Points
This research aims to investigate the frequency and outcomes of posttransplant lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD) in pediatric patients after allogeneic HSCT.
Multicenter retrospective analysis
Involvement of the Turkish Pediatric BMT Study Group
Assessment of PTLD frequency and characteristics
PTLD occurred infrequently in the pediatric population
CNS involvement was linked to poorer overall survival
Failure to achieve remission also correlated with decreased survival rates
Abstract
PTLD occurred infrequently among pediatric allogeneic HSCT recipients. CNS involvement and failure to achieve remission were strongly associated with poorer overall survival.
