Abstract

abstractThis work introduces the Livolsi Constant L, the first fully emergent, dimensionless invariant generated by a closed quartic variational functional. Unlike conventional physical constants, L is not inserted, tuned, or derivedfrom empirical input: it arises uniquely from the structural algebra of thefunctional, from its Z₃ cyclic closure, and from the normalization of thesymmetric mode in the fluctuation spectrum. The second variation of the actionreduces to a dimensionless operator whose nontrivial eigenvalue is fixed to asingle value, L = 0. 25. This number is scale-free, unit-independent, andinvariant under all admissible rescalings of the fields or of the Hessian. The constant L controls the universal response of the system: it determinesratio of oscillation frequencies, relative fluctuation amplitudes, intensitypeaks, and noise enhancements in the cyclic sector of the theory. Thesepredictions are parameter-free and remain valid in any regime governed by theclosed variational structure. As a consequence, L represents a new categoryof fundamental constant: one that emerges from mathematical necessity ratherthan empirical calibration. Its discovery suggests that deeper physical lawsmay be governed not by externally inserted constants, but by intrinsicdimensionless invariants encoded in globally closed variational principles. abstract
