This paper, by an optometric practioner of high standing in Pennsylvania, was presented to the American Academy of Optometry as his fellowship thesis. While the editor does not agree with Dr. Dean in all of his conclusions the paper shows much of merit and it is this type of original research that will open to optometry the true fields of service to mankind.
