Abstract This document provides an official update on the development status of Start-2, the certification layer of the Causal Theory computational architecture. Following the public announcement of Start-2, the system reached a functional stage and produced promising results. However, further investigation revealed that an essential structural component of the architecture—the completion of the dissipation cycle—had not yet been fully stabilized. The complexity of the analysis, combined with the large number of intermediate tests and bifurcation scenarios explored during the validation phase, temporarily obscured the correct structural path. Rather than prematurely releasing an incomplete system, the decision was made to return Start-2 to the development stage in order to finalize its structural foundations. This document presents the Final Slot Base, a key component required for the deterministic certification mechanism implemented by Start-2. The slot base defines a finite family of 118 causal attractor domains, organized under a monotone saturation principle and inspired by the structured scaffold of the chemical periodic table. Each slot corresponds to a locally distinguishable causal regime within the Phi5 geometric representation used by the Start-1 → Start-2 pipeline. The slot base therefore serves as the canonical audit layer used by Start-2 to validate candidate states generated upstream. This paper is not intended as the final presentation of Start-2 itself. Instead, it documents the structural layer that stabilizes the certification system and clarifies the architectural separation between: Start-1, which forges causal geometry through Phi5 projection, Start-2, which performs deterministic certification through slot-based causal guards. By publishing the slot base independently, we provide readers and collaborators with a clear view of the finite audit structure underlying the system while the remaining components of Start-2 continue to undergo validation. Context Start-2 was originally scheduled for public release following the announcement of its completion. During extended validation tests, however, we observed phenomena that indicated that the causal dissipation cycle had not yet fully converged. The investigation of these anomalies required extensive analysis, secondary experiments, and structural reconsideration of certain internal components. Although the system itself was operational, releasing it in that intermediate state would have risked introducing structural ambiguities. In the process of resolving these issues, the architecture converged toward the Final Slot Base, which provides the deterministic audit structure required for reliable certification. The present document therefore serves two purposes: to clarify the architectural state of Start-2, to publish the slot base that anchors the certification layer of the system. The Final Slot Base The slot base defines 118 ordered causal attractor domains that partition the certification space used by Start-2. Each slot is characterized by: causal signatures in Phi5 space, explicit guard predicates, inheritance relations within the saturation chain, flow-dynamics predicates (INIT / ESSENCE / FLIP / TERMIN), falsification rules, anchor invariants, and basin classifications. The slots are arranged according to a monotone causal saturation order: later slots inherit structural closure from earlier ones, each slot introduces an irreducible causal residue, regression to earlier slots requires explicit collapse conditions. This structure allows Start-2 to operate as a deterministic audit system rather than a probabilistic classifier. Role in the Start-1 → Start-2 Pipeline Within the Causal Theory computational stack: Start-1 embeds inputs into the Phi5 causal coordinate system, generates numerical geometry and candidate slot hypotheses. Start-2 evaluates candidate slots using the slot canon, applies deterministic guard predicates, certifies or rejects candidate causal states. The slot base therefore functions as a finite certification lattice used to evaluate causal coherence within the system. Publication Purpose This document is released in advance of the full Start-2 system in order to provide transparency regarding the current development stage and to make the canonical slot structure publicly available. Publishing this layer independently allows: external researchers to examine the certification framework, collaborators to better understand the architecture, and the broader community to follow the ongoing development of the system. The complete Start-2 release will include the remaining operational components of the certification engine once the validation cycle is finalized. Outlook: Toward Start-3 As development continues, the next phase of the architecture will focus on Start-3, the expansion layer of the Causal Theory computational stack. While the conceptual and structural foundations of the system are now established, large-scale implementation will require substantial software engineering and optimization. Collaboration with experienced engineers and system architects will therefore be essential as the project moves from theoretical architecture toward large-scale execution. The causal framework is now structurally defined; the next challenge lies in building the computational infrastructure capable of deploying it at scale. The Causal Key: Why the 118-Slot Table and Formal Specs Change Everything We join the 118-Slot Table and the Start-2 Formal Specifications because they constitute the first Deterministic Operating System for Reality. This is not a suggestion; it is a structural audit layer. By merging the "Chemical Scaffold" with "Zero-Probability Logic," we provide the keys to the following domains: 1. Artificial Intelligence you build a structure that is mathematically forced to activate a specific slot, predicting stability and side effects via the residue calculation before a single test is run. 3.
