Adherence to digital health care records (DHCRe) is crucial for HIV patients in South African community clinics due to its impact on treatment outcomes and disease management. A comprehensive search strategy was employed using databases such as PubMed, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science. Inclusion criteria included longitudinal studies focusing on HIV patients in community clinics within South Africa. Studies were assessed for methodological rigor, data quality, and relevance to the review objectives. Findings indicate an average adherence rate of 75% (95% CI: 68-82%) over a one-year period across different clinic settings in South Africa. Higher adherence was associated with better clinical outcomes, as measured by reduced hospital admissions and improved medication compliance. The review highlights significant variations in DHCRe adherence rates among HIV patients within the study population, suggesting a need for tailored interventions to improve record usage and patient care. Clinic managers should implement targeted strategies to enhance digital literacy and engagement with patients regarding the benefits of DHCRe. Additionally, ongoing monitoring and feedback mechanisms are recommended to sustain high adherence levels.
