Equatorial Guinea's African society is increasingly adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, necessitating a robust ethical framework and governance mechanisms to ensure responsible AI deployment. A qualitative approach informed by stakeholder interviews and a review of existing literature will be employed to analyse current AI applications and their impact on society. The current landscape lacks comprehensive governance frameworks that adequately address the ethical dimensions and risks associated with AI deployment. Developing a multi-stakeholder framework involving government bodies, industry leaders, and civil society organizations is recommended to establish transparent data governance practices in AI applications.
