Community health centres (CHCs) play a critical role in healthcare delivery in Uganda's rural areas, where access to specialized medical services is often limited. A comprehensive literature review was conducted using databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, and African Journals Online. The key criteria included study designs, sample sizes, data sources, and statistical analyses employed. The analysis revealed that while many studies used cross-sectional surveys to assess CHC performance, there was a lack of longitudinal studies or randomized controlled trials (RCTs). The review suggests the implementation of a quasi-experimental design with appropriate control groups and outcome measures for accurate cost-effectiveness evaluations. CHCs should prioritise data collection methods that allow for both pre- and post-intervention comparisons to assess their impact on health outcomes effectively. Treatment effect was estimated with logit (pᵢ) =₀+^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
