Electronic Health Records (EHRs) have become increasingly important in healthcare systems to improve patient safety and efficiency. A mixed-method approach was used, including surveys and interviews with healthcare professionals to gather data on EHR system usage. The rural hospitals showed promising results in terms of patient safety and efficiency after three years of implementing EHRs. Further studies should explore scalability and cost-effectiveness of EHR systems to ensure widespread adoption across Rwanda's healthcare landscape.
