Crude melanoma mortality in Spain rose steadily between 2000 and 2023, but this trend slowed significantly after the introduction of new systemic therapies in 2015. While mortality continued to rise in individuals aged ≥80, those under 80—particularly the 65–79 age group—experienced a significant 10% decline, suggesting a population-level benefit from new treatments. These findings highlight both the impact of novel therapies and the ongoing challenge of melanoma mortality in an aging population.
