ABSTRACT Transactions through mobile financial services (MFS) are increasing daily, not only in Bangladesh but around the world. It takes 1.5–2 min for the customer and vendor to check to make a transaction during payment or cashout at a shop or restaurant. In addition, employees often cannot accept MFS payments due to a lack of owners in small shops. In this paper, we develop a new automatic machine payment system, “CashYaar”, which solves all these problems. If the customer scans the QR (quick response) code above CashYaar and makes a payment or cashout, the CashYaar device tells the speaker how much money has been paid. On the vendor's side display, the merchant or agent can see from which number how much money has been paid. As a result, we do not have to confirm the payment by repeatedly going to the phone or website. Customers can confirm the payment within 10 s by viewing the vendor's display or listening to the sound. The system is made with enhanced security and reliability at the expense of affordability and competitiveness.
