This version is prepared as a teaching material for the course "Lasers in Dentistry, Khon Kaen University (KKU), 2025". Laser dentistry has evolved from a technology-driven adjunct to a biologically guided, patient-centred care. This article synthesises current trends in laser applications across dental disciplines, integrating evidence from systematic reviews during 2015 to 2025, clinical innovations, and translational research. Rather than focusing solely on device parameters, contemporary practice increasingly emphasises biological endpoints, non-ablative approaches, and personalised care strategies. These shifts reflect a broader transformation in dentistry from procedure-oriented intervention toward integrated, adaptive, and patient-specific care.
