The factors of penetration of the legal means under consideration into the sphere of criminal procedure are revealed, promising directions for their further introduction into legal proceedings in resolving criminal law conflicts are formulated. The purpose of the study is to determine the role of conciliation procedures and the possibility of their further development in the domestic criminal process. The objectives of the study are: a) to critically reflect on the results of law enforcement practice in applying the provisions of legislation on conciliatory legal means; b) to highlight the positions of procedural scientists who study the problems of convergence of private and public law in the field of criminal procedure; c) to suggest ways to further develop conciliation procedures in Russian criminal procedure law. Research methodology: dialectical method of cognition, general scientific methods of abstraction, analysis and synthesis, as well as special legal methods (historical‑legal, comparative‑legal, logical‑legal, etc.). Conclusion. Promising approaches are those according to which, for the construction of conciliatory structures in criminal procedure law, the key guideline is the classical model of a civil contract between the parties to the prosecution and the defense, which provides for a system of mutual concessions aimed at the complete exhaustion of the criminal conflict, up to the release from criminal liability of the perpetrator. The development of conciliation procedures in Russian criminal procedure science will make it possible to use new mechanisms to a greater extent in order to resolve criminal law conflicts between the subjects of the process, and, in general, to expand opportunities for dialogue between society and the state in modern Russia.
