Pain is one of the most burdensome symptoms for patients with Epidermolysis bullosa (EB), and due to the disease heterogeneity, pain management requires an individualized approach. This meta-analysis identified nine studies of those four topical and one systemic study showed a significant improvement in pain scores. The variety of different tools used for measuring pain underscore the importance to foster harmonisation in patient reported outcomes measurement tools, especially in pain.
