General relativity explains gravity as a distortion of space-time caused by matter, which affects the inertial motion of other matter. The theory predicts that light passing near a massive body is deflected toward that body due to space-time curvature. This phenomenon has been experimentally confirmed through observations of starlight and distant quasars deflected by the Sun. In this work, the author proposes an experimental approach suggesting that it is not mass alone that curves space-time, but rather the attractive force associated with mass that produces the warping of space
