Gravity measurements provide a unique tool to image the subsurface, as they supply direct information on mass changes. Following decades of research, developments and industrial transfers, quantum technology reached a high level of maturity and it is now possible to benefit from operational quantum gravimeters offering various advantages with respect to devices that have been hitherto used. The EQUIP-G consortium deploys a pool of quantum gravimeters in Europe and offer free loans for other geophysicists to use this technology. This will lead to a long-term pan-European entity managing a shared park of quantum gravimeters available for all as well as a terrestrial reference gravity network.
