In today’s rapidly globalizing world, it is crucial to foster talent with diverse perspectives and knowledge for the future of manufacturing. This report introduces an educational approach that combines "Monozukuri" (the art of making things) with "Creative Design" focusing on the current societal challenges. The program utilizes state-of-the-art technologies such as the Internet of things(IoT), artificial intelligence(AI) and robotics. It also includes international educational events such as the Summer Program for Innovative Engineering Design(SPIED) and the Creative Engineering Design Competition(CEDC). These events attract students from various academic disciplines and universities in China, Korea and Japan. Students from various specializations collaborate to generate new ideas and develop innovative products or services that address concrete societal issues. Through partnerships with international universities, students gain a global perspective on these challenges and actively learn how to explore solutions.
