Over the past few months, an assessment committee has been working on the evaluation report "Open Science NL in its formative years". The report covers the first two years of Open Science NL's 2024-2025 work programme and was intended to answer questions such as: does Open Science NL focus on the right priorities, does it fit in well with national and international developments and have the available resources been spent efficiently and effectively? In addition to Prof. Paul Wouters (Leiden University), the committee consisted of Prof. David Sweeney (University of Birmingham), Henriikka Mustajoki (Secretary-General of the Finnish National Open Science Programme) and Noémie Aubert Bonn (Hasselt University and University of Manchester), and was supported by Robert van der Vooren. On the 23rd of March 2026, the report was presented to Marcel Levi, president of the Dutch Research Council (NWO), and the chair of the Steering Committee of Open Science NL Lex Bouter during the celebration of the three-year anniversary of Open Science NL.
