Given the importance of intellectual property and the necessity of its protection at both national and international levels, this research addresses aspects of intellectual property in terms of its nature and various types within the Saudi Arabian system, exploring the facets of its protection. Indeed, creative intellectual practices rank among the most noble of human endeavors, crystallizing within the cultures of nations and the building of civilizations. Intellectual or mental rights indisputably reign supreme among all rights and occupy a prestigious position within intellectual property rights, thanks to the intellectual capacity endowed by God Almighty that enables humans to transition from the darkness of ignorance to enlightenment. While material production forms a significant element in the construction and advancement of nations, intellectual production is no less important for long-term development, as it lays the foundations for progress in all its forms. The level of advancement of any people can be measured by their education and culture, and by the level of protection available for national productive and intellectual creativity.
