Abstract Primary care nurse practitioners are instrumental in identifying and managing pediatric orthopedic conditions as first-line providers. This report covers common diagnoses, initial management strategies, and referral guidelines. Through a review of the literature, providers will learn to define diagnoses, recognize crucial musculoskeletal examination components, describe initial treatment approaches, and identify when to refer to specialists. This report provides essential knowledge to enhance diagnostic and management skills in pediatric orthopedics.
