Thermal imaging in the diagnosis of acute testicular pain – results of a feasibility pilot study
Key Points
The study aims to assess the feasibility of using thermal imaging for diagnosing acute testicular pain.
Conducted a pilot study to evaluate the use of thermal imaging.
Focused on acute testicular pain assessment.
Gathered preliminary data on the effectiveness of the imaging method.
Thermal imaging proved to be feasible as a diagnostic tool.
Results indicate potential for rapid evaluation of acute testicular pain.
Abstract
Thermal imaging is a feasible, noninvasive method for evaluating acute testicular pain. It may serve as a rapid diagnostic tool, but its clinical value must be confirmed in large prospective trials.
