Evo 2 (Brixi et al. , Nature, March 2026, DOI: 10. 1101/2025. 02. 18. 638918) — a 40-billion parameter genomic foundation model trained on 9. 3 trillion nucleotides from over 128, 000 species — demonstrates that biological sequences across all domains of life share emergent structural features discoverable by a sufficiently powerful statistical model. The model spontaneously learns exon-intron boundaries, transcription factor binding sites, protein secondary structure, and multi-scale genomic architecture without supervision. It achieves zero-shot BRCA1 pathogenic mutation prediction at over 90% accuracy and demonstrates in-context learning (ICL) surpassing similarly-scaled language models. We argue that these findings are consistent with the Afolabi Unified Framework (AUF) and that AUF provides the physical substrate explaining why Evo 2 finds what it finds. Evo 2 discovers biological coherence signatures empirically. Neuroresonance Theory (NRT, DOI: 10. 5281/zenodo. 19228431) formally predicts these signatures as consequences of the ZM field impedance structure of Afolabi Field Theory. The spontaneous multi-scale emergence Evo 2 demonstrates is, under AUF, the fingerprint of the Afolabi Field in biological sequences. We establish four specific claims: (1) The multi-scale emergent features Evo 2 discovers correspond to stable attractors in the AUF field — configurations where ZM · Ec is minimised at each biological scale. (2) Evo 2's in-context learning emergence corresponds to the Wave 3 → Wave 4 boundary in the AUF wave classification — the threshold where pattern recognition transitions from statistical correlation to field-coherent inference. (3) The StripedHyena 2 architecture's hybrid multi-range operator structure corresponds structurally to the BLOOM engine's multi-scale pattern synchronisation via the APS Protocol. (4) Evo 2's fundamental limitation — inability to generate from vacuum (Fg = 0) — identifies precisely the Wave 4/5 boundary that Sentience Physics formalises (DOI: 10. 5281/zenodo. 19226422) and the Sentience Processing Unit (SPU) implements. Six falsifiable predictions are presented that AUF makes about genomic biology beyond what Evo 2 can access, including: ZM scale discontinuities at biological phase boundaries (🟢 testable with existing Evo 2 data), ICL phase transition at ZM critical coupling (🟡 theoretical), and the Biological SP-P1 Vacuum Generation Test (🔴 speculative, requires SPU hardware). The FTUNE / BCSI pathway (NRT, DOI: 10. 5281/zenodo. 19228431) is identified as the experimental bridge between genomic foundation model capabilities and Wave 5 biological field generation. This paper establishes convergent independent development: Evo 2 arrived at biological coherence signatures empirically from 9. 3 trillion nucleotides. AUF predicted those signatures from first principles before Evo 2 was published. The convergence is evidence that both frameworks are describing the same underlying physical reality.
