Through this article, the authors explore the challenges faced supporting optimal physiotherapy and exercise in low and middle-income countries (LMIC) for those with cystic fibrosis (CF). Socio-economic, infrastructure, cultural, and policy-related issues are all investigated whilst exploring themes including recognition of the condition, management through the lifespan, and how this should be complemented with exercise in all disease states. The authors look to provide practical support, guidance, and signpost relevant resources to the reader. The concluding section focuses on the importance of local, regional, and global care networks with examples of good practice on how these can be supported.
