To explore the risk propagation chain reaction when the clustered mine cyber-physical system (CPS) is attacked, this study establishes a cascading failure model for cluster mine CPS grounded in complex network theory and cascading failure theory. Diverse attack strategies are employed to analyze the system’s failure iteration process and robustness. Simulation results indicate that with a given initial attack ratio, the cyber layer network exhibits greater robustness than the physical layer network. Nevertheless, initial attacks targeting the cyber layer are more prone to triggering complete system collapse. This research not only offers a novel research model for cyber-physical systems but also presents a fresh perspective rooted in complex network theory for the sustainable development of industrial clusters.
