Echocardiographic assessment of right ventricular (RV) function using Fractional Area Change (FAC%) and Right Ventricular Index of Myocardial Performance (RIMP)

RV dysfunction and morbiditysurrogate

Echocardiographic parameters FAC% and RIMP provide valuable prognostic information for assessing right ventricular dysfunction and predicting morbidity in COPD patients.

Abstract

This study substantiates that FAC% and RIMP can be vital prognostic factors for RV function apart from SPAP, TAPSE to define RV dysfunction and predict morbidity in COPD.
