Our findings demonstrate that PED is a potent antifibrotic agent that functions by directly targeting and inhibiting c-Jun. This study provides the first evidence for the pharmacological modulation of c-Jun by PED, with rigorous gain- and loss-of-function validation of the target dependency, highlighting its potential as a novel therapeutic strategy for the treatment of liver fibrosis.
