Does visual estimation of LVEF using 2D and triplane echocardiography correlate with quantitative LVEF determined by real-time 3D echocardiography?
Visual estimation of LVEF by experienced readers using 2D or triplane echocardiography correlates well with quantitative 3D echocardiography, supporting its clinical utility.
Visual estimation of LVEF both using 2D and TP by an experienced reader correlates well with quantitative EF determined by RT3DE. There is an apparent trend towards a smaller variability using TP in comparison to 2D, this was however not statistically significant.
