Equilibrium between CaO-Al.03-TiO* or -TiO* slags and a liquid Fe-20mass'loCr alloy with respect to oxygen and nitrogen was studied at 1 873 Kas a function of Ti (or A.1) content in alloys, using an Al203 Crucible. TheAl-~and li-AI relations in liquid alloy were studied, and nitride capacity defined by CN = (masso/o N) P30/4/P1N/2 was obtained from nitrogen distribution ratios, coupled with the analyzed oxygen content in liquid alloy or the Po, determined by li/TiO. equilibrium. Based on these results, activity of Al.03 and activity coefficients of Ti02, TiO1 .5 and CrO1 5 were evaluated.
