and the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton (UK), contributing to the understanding of redox metalloproteins, the biological role of hydrogen peroxide, and endocannabinoids with over 300 high-impact international publications.An active member of the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS), he served on numerous FEBS committees and organized an extremely popular annual FEBS congress in Rome in 1989.As part of the Jubilee Year in 2000, he organized with Pope Jean Paul II the first World Youth Meeting in the area of Tor Vergata University with over one and half million people coming from all over the world.This became a regular event, and in 2025 over two million people participated in the event at the same university.Professor Finazzi-Agr has made numerous scientific contributions that have become milestones in the scientific community.His major contributions include, for example, a deeper understanding of biochemistry and enzymology in particular, through spectroscopic techniques.These studies were, in fact, extensions of a broader scientific output developed within the Roman School of Biochemistry, initiated, as indicated, by Professor Alessandro Rossi-Fanelli, and which includes eminent international researchers such as Jeffery Wyman, Eraldo Antonini, and, not least, Maurizio Brunori and Paolo Fasella, who also carried out part of their work at our University.Professor Finazzi-Agr published numerous seminal research articles and gave numerous presentations worldwide; he evaluated grant applications for numerous national and
