This study aimed to evaluate dentists' knowledge, self-perception, applicability, and use of homeopathy/phytotherapy in complementary, alternative, and integrative health (CAM) practices within Dentistry. An online questionnaire was administered to Brazilian adult dentists from April to October 2023. The questionnaire assessed sociodemographic data, knowledge and self-perception of CAM, interest in these practices, and the use of homeopathy/phytotherapy. Descriptive analysis and chi-square tests were used for data analysis. The final sample included 330 dentists, aged 23-79 years (mean age 42±14), with a majority being women (77.8%). The most common specialties were pediatric dentistry (38.79%) and orthodontics (17.88%). Of the participants, 76.06% reported familiarity with CAM, with 18.48% considering their knowledge good and 6.06% excellent. Additionally, 67.27% expressed interest in offering CAM practices, while 21.82% already did so. The most popular CAM modalities were laser therapy (46.50%) and acupuncture (18.46%). Homeopathy was used by 26.06% of dentists, primarily for bruxism (69.77%) and anxiety (68.60%). Phytotherapy was used by 29%, mainly for bruxism (67.71%) and anxiety (46.88%). No significant associations were found between knowledge and geographical regions or years since graduation (p>0.05). However, there was an association between formation time and self-perception (p=0.006), as well as between knowledge and self-perception (p<0.0001). Most dentists are familiar with regulated CAM, though many reported insufficient knowledge, which affects their use of these therapies. Homeopathy and phytotherapy are used primarily for anxiety and bruxism, but their application remains limited.
