This paper introduces KOGNETIK as a direct entry procedure for structural classification under recurrence. It is written for first-time readers and starts from one operational question: when the same kind of situation comes back, is the same rule still running? The paper defines a closed output space with only three admissible results: Ψ = 0, where the previously declared structural pattern still reconstructs under the declared recurrence; Ψ ≠ 0, where a stable structural difference is reconstructable under the declared recurrence; and Ψ = undefined, where the case is too weakly declared for any valid structural result. The text is designed as an application paper rather than a purely theoretical exposition. It explains recurrence, structure, non-mutation, RSSA, load, target, bottleneck, and Kognem in plain language, provides a one-page quickstart, a worked behavioral example, additional cross-domain examples, a compact decision engine, stop rules, minimal reporting standards, and reusable worksheets. The paper does not replace domain theory and does not prescribe meaning. Its function is narrower: to give readers a strict, usable procedure for deciding whether the same structure is still carrying a recurring case, whether a stable structural difference has appeared, or whether the correct result is undefined. In this sense, the paper serves as the simple front door to the wider KOGNETIK corpus while remaining fully usable on its own. Process, not state:Reflexivity specifies a transformation rule rather than a content or level. Domain-independent operator:Applicable across biological, cognitive, artificial, social, industrial, and geophysical systems. Non-ascriptive and empirically testable:Ψ enables comparative analysis of systems via observable structure and recurrence. Higher-order phenomena as specifications:Learning, adaptation, consciousness, governance, and identity are structured regimes of Ψ.
