Thoracolumbar burst fractures: robot-assisted mono-segment fixation with vertebral body grafting versus short-segment fixation — a propensity score-matched cohort study
Key Points
To compare robot-assisted mono-segment fixation with vertebral body grafting and short-segment fixation for treating thoracolumbar burst fractures.
Propensity score-matched cohort design
Evaluation of perioperative efficiency
Assessment of screw-related precision
Comparison of sagittal correction outcomes
Robot-assisted fixation maintained sagittal correction within MCID (minimally clinically important difference)
Improved perioperative efficiency compared to short-segment fixation
Increased screw-related precision observed in robot-assisted group
Abstract
For selected thoracolumbar burst fractures, RMF-VBG maintained sagittal correction within the prespecified MCID compared with SF-VBG, while improving perioperative efficiency and screw-related precision.
