Currently, robots are indispensable tools in manufacturing, medicine, agriculture, and other fields. Materials are an important factor restricting the development of robots. Robotic materials have become a prominent research area, with a growing number of publications. In this article, the research status, cooperative relationship, and research topics on robotic materials since 2005 have been studied using the bibliometric software CiteSpace. China and the United States are the countries with the highest number of publications in this field. The research topics can be primarily classified into four categories: robotic design, materials, medicine, and sensors. The high-frequency keywords and the research hotspots for each category have been analyzed.
