Does transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) improve mortality in aortic stenosis patients presenting with cardiogenic shock?
TAVR appears to be a safe and effective treatment for patients with aortic stenosis presenting with cardiogenic shock, with 30-day survivors showing similar mortality to non-shock patients.
This large observational real-world study demonstrates that the TAVR is a safe and effective treatment for aortic stenosis patients presenting with CS. Patients who survived the first 30 days after TAVR had similar mortality rates to those who were not in CS.
