An archaeological watching brief was carried out by Aoc Archaeology on behalf of Scottish Water, in advance of a new pipeline instalment and replacement, along the A702, through Dolphinton, south Lanarkshire (NGR: NT 310650 647060). The works uncovered an agricultural topsoil but did not identify any significant archaeological remains.
